what is executive search
Executive search, commonly known as headhunting is the process used to look for specific management talent. It is typically used to place senior executives but we use the same process to locate highly performing individuals from middle management upwards.
We are not database suppliers i.e.. we do not ask for your CV/resume to put it straight into a large impersonal database and distribute to as many companies as possible some of whom may only have opportunities vaguely related to the kind of position you might be interested in.

how can I be considered for executive opportunities
Just make sure you complete the registration process. You will then be contacted by one of our consultants to discuss your career objectives and agree the course of action that would be best suited to you - whether it is looking at suitable opportunities now or alerting you to that specific opportunity as and when it arises.

I want to develop my career but I’m not sure how
We will help you develop the best way of setting your career objectives including the best way of presenting yourself - and this will not cost you anything. You will be assessed on your achievements to date and any need to acquire new skills through training.
You may be on the starting rung of the career ladder, perhaps making your name in sales as a hungry, new business devleopment executive or even an aspiring PA or perhaps you are a CEO of a rapidly growing business ready to apply your experience at a higher strategic level or to a new technology.

With the pace of technological change, mergers and acquisitions etc. the likelihood of your situation changing at any one time is high. This is something we are used to. Just ring your consultant at any time and discuss your new circumstances and find out how we can help.

Once we have an accurate picture of you and the kind of opportunity you are looking for you will be given an honest appraisal of the ease or difficulty of achieving your aims depending on your own time horizons. Many of our candidates use our services to keep them informed of opportunities as they arise but do not necessarily want to move from their current positions unless the position on offer is that quantum leap they have been looking for.

tell me more about confidentiality at Anova
Confidentiality and trust are the most important aspects of our work in executive search. Many of our candidate relationships are based on the premise that they are not looking for a job at present but would like to be made aware of that ideal opportunity if it arises. Any breach of confidentiality could therefore seriously undermine his/her current position. In most cases we do not even work with CV’s or résumé's.

why would taking an assessment help me
It will give you a greater insight into the kind of person you are. It will make you more aware of your strengths and weaknesses, your management style and the way you interact with others. It will allow you to have some idea of how others perceive you. Most importantly however (if you take the Profile XT) it will also provide you with the kind of roles that you are most suited to. what about the longer term
This makes no difference to us. If you are aware of the kind of opportunities that interest you then it is your choice once they have been presented to you whether you take them further. You will be put under no pressure to go for interviews. You will receive the same treatment from us whether we find you a job or not. We build up long term relationships with both candidates and clients alike.

what if I am looking for a job
Depending on what has been agreed between you and your consultant, we will either alert you to appropriate opportunities as they arise or actively pursue a programme of locating a position for you.

is data kept about me secure
Yes. We have strict guidelines to adhere to with regard to our own standards of ethics and confidentiality as well as the revised Data Protection Act which has recently come into force. All contact regarding any assignment is always anonymous. No identification is passed onto third parties i.e. clients and only clients, without the candidates permission.
